What causes some soybean plants to remain green?

At harvest, individual soybean plants that have stayed green stick out. The whole plant or just the stem stays green and there are often fewer pods present on these plants. Horst Bohner, soybean specialist with Ontario’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), looks into what causes some of these soybean plants to remain green in the latest issue of Crop Talk.
